The miracle of life after birth
Breastfeeding is an integral part of our culture, the symbol of life, of nurturing, of the woman as nurturer and giver of life after the miracle of birth. It has been proven to contribute to the healthy development and well-being of societies, in short, it is the ministry of life through the nourishment of the infant from the “juices” of its mother’s body. All mammals – including humans – ensure the survival and healthy development of their young through breastfeeding.
Mom and baby: The benefits of breastfeeding for both.
Through breastfeeding, the infant connects with his mother in a very special way, recognizing her as food and therefore as a carrier of relief for him and satisfaction of his needs. It can be said that breastfeeding ensures – among other things – a very special relationship between mother and infant with varying benefits for both sides. In more detail, let’s briefly touch on some of the benefits of breastfeeding• first – firstly, breast milk is completely individualized as each nursing mother “produces” her own, which is influenced by various factors (see below) and at the same time responds to the particular needs of each infant, giving him the antibodies he needs. Furthermore, it has been proven that breast milk is more easily digestible than commercial milk, as a result of which it noticeably reduces or even completely limits the so-called “first trimester colic” that most babies suffer from. Also according to the literature, breastfed babies are less likely to develop allergies, while at the same time, it also prevents the risk of obesity during the child’s development in the following years. In the same vein, the mother also benefits accordingly, as breastfeeding helps her return to her pre-pregnancy weight more quickly since a significant caloric consumption takes place during this activity. In addition, the hormone produced during breastfeeding, oxytocin, helps the uterus to return to its normal size. And these are just some of the benefits for both sides. From a practical point of view, we cannot ignore that breast milk is the cheapest option and the easiest, since at any time you can easily feed your baby wherever you are without having to carry various utensils• in fact, with 100% her handmade clothing line for nursing moms Handmade Mama Collection, breastfeeding becomes a “game” in any space.
FOR THE BABY
FOR THE MOTHER
Mother’s milk. A few words about its recommendation.
Breast milk is a complex biological liquid and is the best choice for infant nutrition at least for the first 6 months of the infant’s life. We can measure 3 stages of this milk: Colostrum, the first milk produced by the mother’s body, which turns into transitional milk, to become mature from the seventh to the tenth day after childbirth. Let’s follow a few more details about this human “juice” that feeds the miracle of life. It is true that: In a drop of breast milk there are 10,000-13,500,000 living cells. Also, how it contains defense factors such as lysozyme, lactoferrin, immunoglobulins, strengthening the immune system, while, finally, it contains lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Breastfeeding can continue for the first two years of the infant’s life or longer, depending on the mother and baby’s wishes.
We wish all nursing mothers to enjoy all the aforementioned benefits of this twin activity, which is not coincidentally the symbol of maternal love and care.
